This year we'll again be making our Yule (christmas) gifts for family and friends. I've decided to combine them with our homeschooling activities over the next few months.
Hopefully they'll turn out nice. I'm hoping to put together a nice bath & body basket - with homemade fragrence soaps, sugar scrubs, soap, lip balm, shaving cream, etc...So, I thought I'd post the recepies I've located and decided to use so y'all can see (and use too!). It seems like a lot, but I'll only make the basics in large batches, the specialty stuff (near the bottom) will be made in 1 or 2 small or individual batches.

I just wrote an article with the recepies I'm using for the gift baskets...you can check it out here http://www.associatedcontent.com/article/926909/great_gift_ideas_bath_body_baskets.html?cat=7
Dude....it's already over 1/2 way through 2008!!!! And since I'm...er...frugal....I have to budget the supplies - which means making one project a month or so. In that case, it requires me to do it in advance...Further, as it's part of our Homeschooling, since I'm working on the curriculum for the year I thought to add it in..
Love this! Thanks so much for doing all the hard work. hehe. My sister and I were going over what gifts we were goingto make for each others families for Yule. I always bake and she always knits or crochets. This will add a little something different to our gift making spree.
I love making body scrubs (if you use coffe it's good for vericose veins) and massage oils and lotions.
I'd like to try soap, but I'm never sure if which way- lye or glycerin. lye sounds too scary.
We JUSt moved last month and will be unpacking and ettling for a few more months I bet. I might end up doing gift cards or something. we'll see what kind of time I have with starting up schooling while getting settled, etc.
Awesome ideas. Thanks.
I get started on the holidays early too. I find that it makes the holidays more enjoyable. =)
You are a woman after my own heart. I always try to plan ahead, especially since my dd's b-day is DEC 3rd & ds's is DEC 10th.
