Have you ever noticed that the musicians that have written about fleeting fame have enjoyed extended success?

I'm just listening to a Billy Joel concert and he's singing "The Entertainer."  Let's think... Fame by David Bowie... Have a Cigar by Pink Floyd... Shooting Star by Bad Company...

anyone want to add in?
