Autism expert speaks to local parents, teachers
Brenham Banner Press, By ARTHUR HAHN/Managing Editor Just a few years ago, says Kathy Morris, one in 10,000 children was diagnosed with autism; today, that rate has increased to 1 in 150, and that is expected to rise even more.
Morris is a nationally known speaker and trainer in a field that has seen a skyrocketing increase in autism cases.
"If it continues to grow as it has, we're going to be seeing incidences of one in 40," she said.
