Well ladies here is a major kick in the teeth. My husband got laid off on my birthday. To make matters worse it was because I filed a complaint against another coworker who was throwing grinding disks at him. Grinding disk are like really course sand paper but these where used to trim down steel tubing so they where almost like a small saw blade.

According to our states law what this guy did was assault with a dangerous weapon and according to OSHA reckless conduct. Plus this is harassment. So the day that it happens my husband can't file the complaint since we had my grams wake to attend and the next few days he had off. So when he finally filed and got the meeting the assistant plant manager said it was not a big deal and to grow up basically. We my husbands supervisor was tick off to no end since he had seen other things that this guy has done, and when my husband got to work on Wednesday he was told he was fired since he and the other guy just couldn't get along. WTF!!!! So what makes matters worse is he put in a few weeks ago for a transfer to another area to one learn a new machine and two to get away from a know problem. So my birthday sucked we are hard pressed right now to find an attorney to help us since they should have never let him go in the first place. Any ladies her have any ideas as to where to start or know of any attorneys in the Chicago area that could help?
