I admit it. Pregnancy, ESPECIALLY the first trimester makes me bitchy. Irritable, cranky, snarky, you name it. I am not, and never have been one of those glowing mothers to be, that feel as if they are one with mother nature and are one with the universe.

Pregnancy sucks. Not just for me, but for my husband as well. I do feel a bit sorry for him at times, but then I remember, HE did this to me. Sure I was a willing participant in the grand event that created our newest little holy terror, *cough*, I mean little miracle....but I mean honestly, my pity for him lasts about two seconds and I get over it.

My complaints are nothing new. Every pregnant woman has felt this at one time or another, whether or not she wants to admit it. I got over that with baby number two, Little Miss. I am NOT a bad mom because I hate being pregnant, and those that find true joy in the whole process are not better than any of the rest of us...they are just luckier, I guess!

Now, with baby number four on the way, and approaching the ripe old age of 35, I think I have earned my right to bitch and blog about it. I mean, my body has already been through all kinds of hormonal hell, and I have the battle scars to prove it.

Hubby, well all he really has to do is put up with my snarkiness, humor me a bit, and just pray this time passes quickly. His body, once again, is not in the process of rivaling that of a beached whale.

But, alas, the day will eventually come, when the newest little member of our family will arrive, and I will quickly forget all about the things I bitched about leading up to the miraculous event. Considering this is my last baby, I will have nothing but my sagging boobs, stretch marks and my writing to remind me of this oh so unpleasant hormonal roller coaster ride.

In the end, I will be eternally grateful, and once again realize all this is a small price to play to bring yet another little soul, and yes a blessing into this world.

Funny you mention this, I am in the first trimester of my 2nd pregnancy and experiencing "afternoon" sickeness... YUCK I didn't have this with my first and I am also more bitch and what not...But hey, I'd love to see a man do this and not complain! God Bless you, your children, husband and baby on the way!
