For Young Jeezy's information, the colors of our flag symbolize as follows:
RED: Hardiness and Valor
Blood spilled to protect our homeland
Bravery
WHITE: Purity and Innocence
BLUE: Vigilance, perseverance, and Justice
The 13 stripes are the original colonies that formed this great nation, and the 50 stars are the 50 states.
So to blatantly disrespect our flag like that makes you very un-american, perhaps you would like a lesson in our history since perhaps you did not gradate high school to learn that. Oh and please don't try to blame the government or your 'hood' for your not completing school because; EVERYONE (yes that includes you) makes a choice for what you want to do in your life. Instead of selling drugs with your cousins, how about you could have taken another approach and said "You know I don't want to be like everyone else poor and hungry I want to make something of myself and be better than what I see around me!" WOW what a statement that would have been and what a person you could have been now!
As for the Uncle Sam in the background do you know what he stands for here I'll help you.
Uncle Sam is the NATIONAL PERSONIFICATION of the US, he dates back to the War of 1812. He is most know as the 'recruitment' image and was used widely in WWII, asking citizens as John F. Kennedy once said "Ask not what your country can do for you, but what can you do for your country?"
This so called black mafia family paints a bad face for people of color. At least the black panther party started as a way to counter-effect the violence going on and help the victims of hate crimes. I am tired of seeing rappers (RAP-retards attempting poetry) flashing their money, talking about crack-cocaine, pimping hoes, your candy paint car, which girl has the fattest behind and who she going home with tonight. Enough is enough it's time to grow up and learn what real hip-hop is, positive music that enforces people to say enough is enough I'm going to get an education, learn to speak english (not ebonics) and make something of myself. Yes peer pressure can be tough, but it is what it is PEER PRESSURE, and no one can make you do something YOU DO NOT WANT TO.
As for Kanye West, I am really appalled at the fact that you would show your face on such a video, it doesn't matter to me if you were thinking something else and decided to jump onto the bandwagon. As one of the best artists out there right now to even show your support for such a vulgar and distasteful video as that makes my stomach churn, I held you in a much higher regard than these 'bubblegum' rappers that show themselves today. I hope to see better things from you in the future.
Black people, not even black anyone who listens to rap WAKE UP!!!! These people care nothing for you, besides making money off the cds you buy! They talk about the same things (depending on where you live mainly Atlanta, New York, Miami etc...) that you see destroying your neighborhood and killing the people that you know and love. It's time we accept responsibility for what we do, bettering ourselves so your children can have what you didn't.
Women stop wanting to be video girls, and make a quick buck shaking your assets in a video where men basically reduce you to no more than a dime store whore. If you want to be an actress you don't have to get naked, or make a sex tape first. You think you'll ever win an emmy or oscar? No you'll be the same girl in the same B or C rated movie having sex with the same guy, and running from the same very obvious digital monster.
Guys you need to learn how to be men and stop playing to play gangsta. Get out your mother's house, get a job, PULL YOUR PANTS UP TO YOUR WAIST AND WEAR A BELT.
There's nothing wrong with being educated and taking care of your own.
These are my two-cents, take it or leave it. I'm going to be me, stand by my word, think the way I do and be proud of it. Not a victim, and own up to what I do. A republican yes, proud of it darn skippy!
JOHN McCAIN ALL THE WAY! make popular please
Comments:
damn girl.. this is ur best post yet. .by far!!! VERY well put! Im not going to lie, I listen to rap.. mainly for the beat tho, not so much the lyrics (at least not now a days). And Im a democrate.. LOL.. but I know we have alot of similar views.. so its cool. Haha. i do agree with u completely on what your saying. its so true. i dont watch videos so im not sure what song your talking about, but i dont doubt it for one second.
Im going to post popular!
That said I pretty much agree with your post! That crap isn't even music.
Your watching to much HBO. These are some unfavorable ideas, you don't no anything about rappers or gansta, these guys you name make boocoo money. Sounds like a little jeolousy here and futhermore these rappers children are in better shape than your children. Would you like to think that they are trying to impress you one hot second? I don't think so. Thats the problem now, a nigga just can't stand to see a successful negro. Stop Hating
Okay, well since you want her to stop "hatin" I'll do it for her. That mindset right there is pathetic. So successful means cheatin on your significant other, showing titties and ass. Doing coke and bragging about gettin arrested? Sounds real succesful right there.
What she's getting at is that it's pathetic. I agree. What happened to hip hop? The music used to be good! The lyrics used to be positive and life changing. Now it's about having sex in a bathroom. Puleez. I may be white, but I know my fucking music, and you are ignorant as hell. In the words of my friend Rob "Your the reason Al Sharpton makes money".
You are the epitome of ignorance if you cant read a post and understand what it means, a rapper's child is doing better than mine. Yea if you want to say that by letting his three year old wear a bandana around his head, yelling "187 on a crip" and learning to live the drugs, money and whores lifestyle that his or her father is showing them. I really think you need to pull your head out of your behind and get a gri on life, I'm sorry if you feel the need to defend someone who wouldn't care about you unless "you let him hit it" and I doubt if even then, you are truly sad, grow up and be a real woman proud of yourself and get that hatred out of you.
I am all for Freedom of Speech and Expression, but I have to question if our Forefathers could have envisioned the societial issues of today's America. What can these types of lyrics be teaching young children and teenagers? I honestly do not believe it could possibly be anything positive.
armywifey6, Lovin' the post and your responses to some pretty nasty comments thrown at you. You are one smart and strong lady!
