The house is transforming! Yay!

A friend recommended another friend to me for helping me really declutter.  She said that this friend helped her and when they were done, she could have anyone show up and go into any room in her house!  I was impressed by this.  That is my dream.  To have the house simplified and cleared out down to what we need, love, or use frequently . . . this sounded AMAZING to me.

So . . . I called that friend.  She was happy to come and help me!  Crazy . . . she has spent hours at my house for the last few days.  Today we worked on it ALL DAY!  Our children played, my husband even helped.  We kicked some house clutter bum!

So far we have worked through ALL of the children's toys . . . and all of the clothes except what needs to be washed still.  We also decluttered the master bedroom, and the main bathroom, and the front room and closet.  It is amazing, the transformation is so cleansing!  I feel like my head is clearing.  It is an amazing thing.

I will try and post again soon.  We are going to work again on Thursday.  It is a beautiful thing!

Oh, I almost forgot to mention, we called VA and they are coming to pick up our HUGE piles of stuff to give away.  It is something like (I lost count) 30 lawn bags filled with toys, clothes and STUFF!  Holy Cow!

I'm working on the same thing ~ it can be overwhelming at times.  I rallied the kids yesterday and we started sorting, purging and organizing.  I'm tired of living in what looks like a storage unit.  I want some order!  I want my house to feel like a home!  I'm with you Kaycee!!

I visited this weekend and WOW!!! A different house and feeling of peace. Congratulations Kathy and Mike and kids!  I love you, Grandma Jo
