RANDOM AMELIA-
Amelia loves to say "up down up down", while squatting/standing/squatting/standing. And to simulate jumping rope, even though she can't jump yet.
Yesterday she saw a block with the letter "A" and called it A, when noone (but Sesame Street, presumably?) has taught her the letter. She read the darn thing!
She loves bananas. she says "nana" or "baba" if she's hungry, they're her only food words. And she loves her nanas/bananas, but PB&J is a close second.
She says "Mama AND dada" when she wants to express that we should both be present. Joe will be at work and she'll tell me "mama, mama, mama AND dada"
She doesn't understand where he goes when he's gone all day, but she knows sometimes he's outside mowing the yard. One day a couple weeks ago she saw a neighbor riding a lawnmover across the street and recognized the sound, (although we don't have a riding mower) and said "dada, dada" like a crazy happy talking monkey.
She's starting to remove her diaper when it's dirty, sometimes. Well, she tries, but hasn't mastered removing her shorts! She's never used any potty related words and is forever away from training, but at least dirty diapers are bothering her!
RANDOM OTHER-
We were ready to close and found out the bank never sent the lawyer a paper he needed so he never started the title search. Everyone is done with everything but we have to wait for the title search now. We're seeing about an early occupancy agreement, it's fine with the owners, but their lawyer has to decide if it's okay or a liability... If it's okayed we'll get the keys at certain times and get work like the electrical done, rip out the carpet, move some stuff in. We suspect they may want to be paid, but who knows. first the lawyer needs to decide. The 5 sons own the house, and want it sold before winter/asap so they don't have to pay to heat it in winter to prevent damage etc., they are as anxious as us to get done with it all.
I keep filling small boxes and it never seems to make a dent. it's hard to decide what can be packed when you don't know how long it'll be in a box. Poop.
The puppy does NOT want to house train. Doesn't help at all that this carpet in the house we rent now was full of dog pee when we moved in. It was steam cleaned, but you know the dog smells it!
I think I'm going to start a house blog at houseblogs.com, at least I think that's the name!
And while it has colonial influences, the house's most common name would be an American Foursquare, or a Prairie Box, because it's four rooms over four rooms, a box, and influenced by Frank Lloyd Wrights Prairie Houses. It's the uniquely American style of house, completely invented here, and doesn't exist elsewhere except in Canada, from what I've read. The style was pretty much at it's heyday in the 20's when ours was made, and a lot of them were from kits. you could go meet the train or have it delivered by truck, and then just build your house. I have to look for markings on the frame to see what make and model it is.
We went to the North East Rainbow Family gathering. I still haven't recovered from not sleeping. I don't know if I ever will. Ugh. It was fun though, especially for Amelia and Blomer. (her puppy)
Off to register at houseblogs. O-yeah, I quit Selling ANYTHING for now. All Etsy stores are closed. Amelias puppy wakes us up at 5 am, Amelia won't sleep till 11pm -12 am. At her naptime I'm too exhausted to do anything but sit here mindlessly and hope I can fall asleep, except it's the only time I can spend with the pup outside. Which she SOOO needs, since she won't house train. Argh. I am becoming dysfunctional from lack of sleep. And believe me, customers (well, some) don't care, and I can't deal with people who open Paypal disputed over non-delivery 4 days after they paid on a weekend, and THEN get mad when you refund their money. (Most are wonderful, and that was months ago, it just sums up things I'm sick of...) My time is better spent on my daughter and the house. And trying to relax for 2 seconds a day, if possible...
