It's a crazy day weather-wise. Temps in the 90s, feels like over 100, and it's been thundering like crazy all day long with only a few spatterings of rain here and there. A couple of good cracks of lightening and just distant rumbles off and on. The sun shone earlier, but now it's dipping behind trees and hiding behind clouds.

I've been struggling with two stories for a local magazine that were due last Friday. I have been trying to write them all week, to no avail. I just can't seem to get into them. It's been a struggle--more than usual. We just got back from vacation barely 2 weeks ago, and we're busy busy busy with school registration, cleaning and sorting, and buying school uniforms and supplies. My mind is occupied 24-7 and it's tough to shake it long enough to sleep.

Tomorrow my MIL is taking us to Macon for a shopping/feeding frenzy. Granny always takes us over for uniforms, panties, socks, and pizza. I get the tennies and a few extra uniforms. She insists on us going to Chuck E Cheeses and I cringe--but she just looks at me and tells me its HER dime--and I gotta let her do what she wants.

I gave up resisting years ago. God love her and Papa--and all of Neal's family. They are such wonderful folks. Truly angels on Earth.

To "escape" a little while I work these last few days before school starts, my DARLING husband plugged in our camper for me--and I have an office all to myself! I have AC, lights, power, and a fridge for all of my home away from home needs. He's watching the girls in the house while I work...and even though I dash in to throw in a load of clothes or start supper, he is there to watch everything while it simmers or switch washer to dryer...or whatever else needs to be done.

So, here I sit--pleasantly surprised that my wireless internet works out here several yards from the house (neighbors are too far to take advantage). I have my Tippy-Toes Basset/Labrador mix on the U-shaped seating area beside me with a fresh pot of coffee brewing on the counter. A wonderful sky-light above me lets in the fading daylight as I contemplate my next story...

wish me luck!
