Not even 1pm, and my day has already gone to crap

So, I was super excited about FINALLY getting the new bed I've been wanting for over a year now. It's so pretty. Black iron...spiral headboard and footboard. It's only like $150, but for one reason or another...there's always something better to spend the money on. Well, as usual on the weekends, Dayton wakes up in a shitty mood...even after I was nice enough to let him sleep in for over 2 hours. So his bad mood kind of drags me down, but I stay perky and try not to let it get to me. Then, I can't find the tape measure so I can measure out mattress (we have a full/queen mattress and I wasn't sure if we'd need to buy the full or the queen bed), so I look online at the measurements of the bed and ask Dayton which he thinks will work. He looks at the computer and says "We don't have $150" (we have like $500 in the bank right now). Naturally, I think he's just fuckin with me like he usually does, so I think nothing of it. After a few seconds, he doesn't start laughing so I look at him and I'm like "You're joking, right?"...."No, I thought the thing you wanted was like $80".

So I am trying desperatly NOT to explode on his ass. See, we were supposed to leave this coming Thursday for a long weekend at the beach with my family. But of course, we couldn't pull it off, so we had to cancel. I was understanding about it, even though last month we had the money to go to MICHIGAN to see his family. And also note that last week we had to get a new (used) car because our's took a shit on us. Well, he just HAD to have this damn truck (how much sense does that make when we already have one child, and we're trying for another?). I found this fantastic SUV that was in great shape for the price, but no...he had to have the truck. So I compromised. "If you get this truck, we have to get the bed". (He can't use the "we don't have a way to get it home" excuse anymore) Of course, he agreed right away. Stupid, stupid, stupid move, Cara. Because now, he has his damn truck (that is pretty much crap), and guess what....NO BED. Not now, not anytime soon. Last Sunday he also all of a sudden had to have a bike so that he could save gas by riding it to work (he works like 2-3 miles from here). And as I predicted, he hasn't touched the bike since he got the stupid truck. He also had to have a new PS3 game yesterday, and although it was used and he had credit on his edge card (gamestop), he still had to pay $40 out of pocket.

But hey, as long as he's happy....

Oh, honey... my husband is the SAME WAY!! he constantly has things coming in the mail, new video games he picks up (and then spends all his time playing rather than playing with the kids) and got a new truck. It's a nice truck, but hello?? The diesel gas for it is insanely expensive, and of course he can't leave it alone. Had to get a CB radio (WHY??) and a new exhaust system that cost $2000, so now I can't buy the kids new clothes for school because we're paying off a PIPE!! So mad! So I get everything I can off of freecycle and craigs list so as not to spend money (we have to get all new stuff for the baby, but we have no money to do it!) And when we do have extra money, I never hear about it, and he goes to the bar and spends it there. We always visit his family, but if I want to visit mine, we don't have the money. makes me insane!! I'm finally getting a bed (we sleep on a mattress and box spring on the floor) but only because we are getting a settlement check from the moving company who broke a bunch  of our furniture. If it was coming out of our money, it would never happen! (I've already been waiting 5 years..!) SO, you're not alone..! Smile, and try to concentrate on the good stuff and not kill him. The mess would be no fun to clean up :)
