I hate when people ask me how to pronounce my name. My name is Deanna (dee-ann-uh). Like, c'mon..I know it's not that common, but do you see an "i" anywhere in my name? It's not Diana..or I'll get Deana, pronounced "dee-nuh." I guess it just gets old, and that's why it's annoying. I always thank people when they pronounce it right.

I don't see how people would not know how to pronounce your name! It seems fairly obvious to me.
I totally understand your frustration though. People have mispronounced my name all my life. When I was younger it really bugged me. I wanted to change my name to Tina, cuz I figured no one could possibly get that wrong!
I guess I just expect for everyone to pronounce it wrong now, so it doesn't really bother me when they do. I seriously get super excited & want to give them a gold star when they do say it right!
