The Relentless Campaign is teaming up with A21 to fight against slavery. Yes, it still exists. Today thousands of children are sold as sex slaves and forced into the world where humans are peddled like drugs. Together we can change this. That's why the Ground Floor's Relentless Campaign is supporting A21 -- to change the lives of these children and women from what is into what can be.
Who is A21?
We are a group of girls and women who are commmited to pursue JUSTICE, as God has entitled every person he has created to a life of FREEDOM. Unfortunately, we realize this is not the case, as millions of people world wide are trafficked into the sex slavery industry. We will stand up and fight this injustice with RELENTLESS faith, as we join together as a community to raise funds and awareness, realizing that we cannot just sit back and be silent.
Sex trafficking is a modern day form of slavery in which a commercial sex act is induced by force, fraud, or coercion, or in which the person induced to perform such an act is under the age of 18 years. 2 MILLION CHILDREN each year are victim to trafficking.
Children as young as THREE years old are forced to serve up to FORTY men a day. It is the world's SECOND LARGEST CRIMINAL ENTERPRISE after drugs. Children are more in demand then weapons. 600,000 to 800,000 people each year are trafficked across international borders 80 percent of these victims are female. 50 percent of these girls are minors. This heinous crime brings in around $32 billion a year.
Sex Trafficking Statistics:
4 million people are trafficked worldwide each year. At least 500,000 are in the US.
Currently the US has a 2% rescue rate.
Sex trafficking is a 9.5 BILLION dollar industry.
The average victim is 13 years old.
80% of the victims are women.
50% are children.
Sex trafficking is the 2nd largest criminal industry worldwide.
Victims service an average of 40 men per day.
One victim alone makes the criminals $250,000 a year.

Of course, we need prayer as well. Any little thing helps.
I'll be there on Saturday. What can you do?

First I wanted to let you know I voted this popular. More people need to know this is going on. The Church I attend just built an orphanage/school in Thailand because of this issue. One program they have in Thailand to get these poor children help is to have them make jewelry and the jewelry is sent to the United States and people sell it here and send the money back. I did this for a while, I also found that my crocheted items would sell and I sent that money to them also. They use the money not only for the women's physical care, they also buy some of the young children so they do not get put on the street and into prostitution. What really makes you angry is the men that use these children. Many of them are men from the US, it is sick. I thank you for posting this. I would like to know if you would mind posting it in my group. This information needs to get out to everyone. Thanks again.
In His service,
Brenda
Thanks! You can go to the myspace or facebook links to find out how to help, but also just praying and passing on the info is a huge help!
well i googled it and there was alot of books that weren't it but i found it, it's ISBN-10: 0312958706.
I have voted popular. Right now the only support I can offer are my prayers, but imagine what a bunch of dedicated cafemommies could do with this. This is an issue that trandscends any and all of our differences. These children and young people need help! I wouldn't be surprised if this is where the girl that disappeared from Antigua ended up at or little Madeline that was kidnapped last year while her parents left her by herself sleeping in the hotel room.
I think it was Aruba and not Antigua that little blond girl that got taken while on her senior vacation.
