Well it's only been a little over 24 hours and my group has already received a post from a PAP asking "WHY can't positive stories be posted too......?" (imagine whiny voice - LOL!)
I'm flattered that someone thinks that my day-old group could prevent a woman from placing! (Her words although I forget how she phrased it.)
Must mean we're headed in the right direction ladies!
Let's all give ourselves a pat on the back!

And am I the only one who finds it amusing that PAP's have no problem with groups that are STRICTLY positive? As a good friend told me, PAP's don't go around insisting that those groups show both sides, but they're sure offended when groups like mine don't.
Hi Yoshiki,
My new group is called "Open Adoption Truths"
Don't know if you're involved in adoption, but thanks for checking out my post and for asking.

Oh and the PAP in question sent an ugly little message to one of our members. What a contradiction to the sweet "Dear Birthmother" letter she has on her page....how curious........

ya know- its all so twisted! Gotta love those paps and amoms who act out in this way!!
Consider this a pat on your back! Yes, the indignant pap who screamed bloody murder about wanting to write about positive open adoptions in your group was pretty mean-spirited. I particularly took offense about her mention that "some pyschologists believe that women who consider adoption for their unplanned pregnancies, but instead parent are at greater risk to abuse their children." I wonder if psychologists would say that paps like her are more likely to close adoptions? I bet that is the case.

I have yet to hear ANY credible psychologist espouse THAT garbage. What are her references?
Well I wish I could tell you what her references are, but I failed to copy and paste the post and keep it in a file on my computer.....I deleted it....next time I'll save something like that somewhere.
Unfortunately, she deleted her post before we thought to copy it. I did respond to her and told her that I could find far more psychologists who would disagree with her comment. I don't believe she really had any reference....think it was only in her own head. Too bad, she SHOULD be on my list.
