We are working really hard at paying off debt.  I  am obsessed with saving money.  I can not bring myself to buy anything that isn't on clearance or isn't on sale that also has a coupon to match without breaking into a cold sweat (thanks Char for sending me your coupons....without them I may have gone over the edge) LOL

I seriously think I need help. haha

We are in the same wagon as you, however, I don't use coupons.  I shop at Aldi's and the bread store for the biggest savings.  I tried using coupons in the past, but there was always a generic brand on the shelf much cheaper without the coupon so i quit carrying them.  The only time I'll use one is if it's an expensive product we use like Razors.   I typically don't buy generic razors for obvious reasons.

When we get paid, we set aside all that our bills take up, then we pay ourselves by putting some money into our savings account.  Hubby gets good overtime checks so that extra gets deposited every pay day.  In no time, we manage to save alot and still are able to pay bills and have extra for groceries, gas and once in a great while we'll eat out for a treat.  We hardly do that anymore with the economy the way it is.  I'm starving for a good pizza instead of the frozen ones we buy! yuk.

YAY for you.  I've been dabbling with coupon use forever now, but just last night was telling my dh that I have to get really serious with it.  Groceries are costing a fortune right now.  I know they can be had for much cheaper... it isn't easy to get serious about using them though.  I wish the grocery game was available in MN for more stores.  But, since it is not... I am going to have to do the work on my own.  If you have any tips let me know :)  What a sweetie Char is to help you!!

Me too - I don't even go to Target anymore except for like shampoo and stuff.  I have really been asking myself constantly "Do I really need this?".  We have been doing more thrift store shopping (Unique had some good school uniforms stuff - I dread going to Donalds) and garage sales.  Oh, and do you know about that 50 cent bread outlet in Fridley?  I love that place - great bakery breads for 50 cents each!
