And this is just ONE of the reasons why...

Edit as of Nov 23rd 2009..

I just thought I would edit this. I was looking over my old journals and realized I sounded pretty uneducated with this journal lol. Well after more research I learned that Obama is not for PBA, UNLESS its because a mother's life is at risk. Now, I will admit, I first thought he was in support of PBA for elective reasons, but now that I know that isn't true, I have a slightly different outlook on the subject. Although I still am against abortion, I can see where people come from with the whole "mother's life at risk" part. I will say though, an abortion that is needed to save a mother's life is VERY rare. More rare than people probably know. Almost 100% of the time, they can deliver the baby vaginally or by c-section ALIVE and intact, while still reliving the mother of the pregnancy. If the baby has to come out anyway, there is no reason why the baby being delivered alive or dead would effect the mother's fate. With that said, I still do not like Obama at all lol.

I'M SURE THAT NO ONE IS "PRO ABORTION" , THE CORRECT TERM WOULD BE "PRO CHOICE!!!"

I've never had an abortion but I sure as hell don't want that right taken away from any woman! It's NOT the governments choice!!!!!!

Kay, I want you to know something.

Know that even all pro-choicers don't LIKE abortions.  We want education and birth control to prevail so women get pregnant when they WANT to, instead of by accident.  We want less abortions too, but rather than making them illegal, we want to make them unnecessary except when they're medically needed, by providing the education AND prevention measures that are severely lacking right now.

I'm obviously not telling you who to vote for, but maybe don't automatically assume that anyone pro-choice (we're NOT pro-abortion) is a horrible person.

Are you guys illiterate? The article I included wasn't just about being pro-choice, it was about the fact that Obama didn't even care about babies being left to die. He defended it and was "unfazed" by the fact that babies were being induced prematurely and left to die in soiled utility rooms and he had no emotion.

NOBODY is pro-abortion, NOBODY! But you "anti-choice" people will never see that. However, the reason he voted against the Illinois bill was because the wording would have left the door open to make ALL abortions illegal, NOT because he "doesn't care about babies being left to die". Yet another example of twisting the truth into something hateful against the man, big surprise.

Also, you do realize McCain was actually pro-choice at first, but changed his tune to accommodate his constituents, right? Talk about flip flopping to gain votes...

Always can count on you! People seem to conveniently overlook the REASON Obama voted against the bill!

I love the language of that article. It is obviously very one-sided. It uses words like "pro-abortion" to get people all riled up. It's an op-ed piece, therefore it is of no consequence.

Uh, wow Kay.  I'm shocked you'd talk to me like that, actually.

Anyway, that article is really bias.  There are a lot of reasons he voted against it, such as, when a baby is viable after abortion, doctors actually are required by law to use life saving measures anyway.  This whole story about them being left in rooms to die has NEVER been proved to be true, ever.  Moreso, the Born Alive act was just a political vote anyway... and the thing about it is, it's just trying to undermine Roe vs. Wade in a way that tugs at people's illogical side.  The actual wording of it makes abortion illegal.
It's a lot more complicated than it seems.

Oh, but babies being left in utility rooms to die IS TRUE! I personally know a couple of nurses who said that this has happened. One of my friends had one Dr actually tell her to go DROWN a baby that survived an abortion. So don't fool yourself that these doctors, who would so willingly take a life, would be so eager to save it. They've violated the Hippocratic Oath they took when they became doctors, by even performing abortions in the first place. Theyshould have their licenses to practice medicine pulled! I won't be voting for obamanation either! He's an evil, wicked man.

MemawBrie, not a single person who's ever read anything you have to say would take your word on ANYTHING.
