Thinking of breastfeeding??

I want to tell every woman who is going to breastfeed that the pain is EXCRUCIATING! HORRIBLE, TERRIBLE, AGONIZING, UNCOMFORTABLE AWFUL AND INTENSE!!
There is just no way to sugar coat it!
BUT...
Once the early days of pain are gone, its a PEACEFUL BREEZE, WONDERFULLY CALMING, COMFORTING, SWEET BONDING, FULFILLING, LOVING, AND ENJOYABLE!
I can actually say that I totally enjoy breastfeeding (minus our case of thrush!)
Just thought I would post this for anyone who is considering it...

I didn't find it painful at all. I think each woman has a unique experience.

Interesting I just bumped into your post by coincidence. But I will answer to it, for me breastfeeding was the most comforting, wonderful, subliminal experience. It didn't hurt at all on the contrary it was simply RELAXING. And the connection between mother and baby is beyond compare.
I guess I could never get past the pain...my nipples were SO incredibly sore and dry, I would cry during breastfeeding or pumping. I wish I could hvae hung in there...maybe it will be easier with this one coming.
