In these days of Difficulty, We Americans Everywhere must and shall choose the path of Social Justice, the path of Faith, the path of HOPE and the path of LOVE toward our fellow man.
So we took a trip to DC yesterday.. the youngest is on spring break and it was a great warm spring like day... walked until I felt like my feet were falling off.. and then some more.. The cherry trees were in full bloom and the crowd were minimum..
Came upon these waterfalls... they are in the Roosevelt display... I have been to DC loads of times and have never been here.. I loved to read all the saying... you can't appreciate them fully until you are an adult.. my youngest just blew by them.. but I read each and everyone to him.. and to my oldest son... in a mothers soft tone... so that maybe some would sink in... find a place in their brains...
Stopped by to see the TJ (Thomas Jefferson).. read all the sayings around him.. I enjoy it most.. reading and thinking... while looking at a statue of a man who came before me and had the foresight to think ahead... I can't even plan my day ahead... but they all did...Makes you wonder.. doesn't it.?
My youngest wanted to walk the "pencil".. nope.. mommy is to tired.. but lets just stand here and look.. he agreed... Thank God..
It was an enjoyable day... spent it with my boys and my favorite Aunt... we laughed.. and sang some... We had a wonderful dinner.. a metro ride.. a first for my family.. and ended up home around 9 pm... I think I shall do more days just like this...
