Ryan, my 3 1/2 yr old is going for surgery this friday, aug 15th -to have his tonsils & adenoids removed & to have tubes put in his ears. I am sooooo nervous about it!! My stomach turns everytime I think about watching the drs put my baby boy to sleep! I also dread how much pain he's gonna be in afterwards! they say he will have a horrible sore throat for about 2 weeks! i stocked up my freezer on alll kkinds of ice pops & bought him a bunch of new toys for when he get's home.
wish me luck!!!

Hope all goes well. I remember having mins done like it was yestrday. I think I was about 4 years old and I loved being able to have lots of jello and ice cream! I don't remember any pain though :)
Our son turned 3 on Dec. 16th and had surgery Dec. 17th. I was miserable for 2 months before the surgery and worried myself sick. It was VERY hard watching him be put to sleep and it seemed like forever before they let us see him (4) hours. But he was just perfect. I am sure your baby will be fine. Let us know how it went.
awwww....i know its nerve racking, but those are fairly common procedures :) and i'm sure all will go well, but i don't blame you for being paranoid, i would be too! Best Of Luck!

My daughter was 2 when she had her tonsils removed, tubes in her ears and her adenoids removed. She came home after surgery and acted as if nothing had happened. She was good for about 3 days and then it kicked her butt for about 2 days. It is far more worse when it starts healing. Kids bounce back far better than adults do. Now mu hubby had his removed about 3 years ago, wanna talk about a BIG BABY!!! If it helps any, he was in recovery and there was a 6 year old that just had his tonsils removed and he was running around the room. I was amazed! I wish you and your son luck :)
