The know-it-all- The know it all has been there and done that. She knows everything and she has the facts to prove it. There's no arguing with the know-it-all because even when she is wrong she can masterfully find a way to make you look like the idiot. The know-it-all is good to have a round because she is full of useless information but shows it off too much.
The Drive- by Poster: The drive-by poster, posts quite often but never sticks around to read any of the replies. Quite often the drive-by poster will say things like "I will be back later to read the replies" or "I will add more later" never to be heard from again. That is until it's time to post again.
The Lurker- The lurker is always there but never posts or replies. She is very interested in what others have to say but hasn't found the courage or the right thing to add to the conversation. The good thing about lurkers is they are very active readers and feel like they are a big part of the group. The bad thing about lurkers is they are very active readers and they are the only ones who even know they are in the group.
The trouble maker- The trouble maker can always be found in the middle of those 100+ page posts. Often playing "devil's advocate" or "just saying", the trouble maker "never meant to start any trouble." Sometimes everyone is getting along very well when the trouble maker comes in and says something slightly offensive. Soon two other posters are fighting and the trouble-maker is curiously quiet.
The peacemaker or the goodie-two-shoes- This cafemomer is always trying to keep the peace. Somehow she finds a way to agree with everyone and never has anything negative to say. The peacemaker is usually found among the admins in the groups.
The addict- The addict is on 24/7. No matter when you send her a message you can guarantee a speedy response. She is in 40+ groups and somehow has time to be an active member in all of them.
The party animal- The party animal is fun to have around....sometimes. The party animal is often the comic relief when the posts begin to get heated. No matter how serious the conversation the party animals replies are always followed by "plse xcus my ty pos, Ive ben drinkn." The often take posts way off topic but can always be counted on for a laugh.
The caretaker- Something like the peacemaker, this mom is everyone's friend. She is like the mother of the group and she can always be counted on for old-school advice and real-world practicality. She always keeps a level head.
The perfect mom- This mom always knows best. She has done everything perfectly and her husband, kids, and home are perfect as well. She is only on cafemom to judge you so BEWARE!

I think I may have multiple personality syndrome or something, because I fit several of these catagories. I'm just sayin'....LOL!

I am too new to this cafemom, and I wonder once I start teaching in Sept. how much I'll be on... but I do think it's pretty cool to talk to other people whom understand motherhood.
