 MY daughter was diagnose with autism today . and now I have take her to a neuro-phycatirsts that's what her neurology doctor has told me to do . so that I can get a second diagnose it will cost me like $150.00 but it will be well worth it because I trust this doctor . AM very deeply sad for this news today I told my husband and BURSTED in to tears I jump at and said right away what the doctor told that she will have a high eye I.Q I don't know if the doctor was just telling me this it's hard  to except it . I'm at a lost what which direction do I take with this they give sooo many pamphlets that I dont know what to do with they want to go theses class to learn more on autism  HUH HUH i JUST WANT TO CRY WELL I ALREADY AM .SO THIS WHAT I HAVE TO DEAL WITH NOW TWO BOYS WITH TOURETTES SYNDROME AND NOW A LITTLE GIRL WITH AUTISUM PLEASE (GOD ) (ALLAH) GAUIDE ME WITH PATIENTS FOR WHAT LIES AHEAD OF ME .

Is it Autism or aspergers ? My youngest son has aspergers and he is just smart as a whip ! My DD has an autism related disorder called Prader Willi syndrome. For us it seems our kids have the genetic disorders. I can understand your pain though. My son's teachers told me they thought he had autism when he was six or seven years old and I didnt listen bc I didnt want to hear it ! Life will go on and she is still the same girl you loved b/f you knew what was wrong. Now you know better how to help her. My prayers and thoughts go out to you. HI there! I have read lots of books on autism and have worked with kids from 3rd grade through 22 for the past 8+ years. If you have any questions, issues or situations that I might be able to help you with, feel free to send me a message. I'm not versed on jumping through the medical or educational hoops, but I've worked alot directly with the students. By being here at Cafemom at least you know that you are not alone on this journey.
