I have spent a lot of time today sketching out characters and developing the plot of a novel that I have had in my head for quite a while now.  My husband asked how much work I got done today.  I told him that I was very pleased with what I’ve done.  When he asked how many words, I said, “Well, it was more outlining than actual story.”  He told me that doesn’t count as working!  “If you aren’t actually writing something, it’s not work.”  UGH!!!  I think he is full of……something.  What do you writers think?
