Well Doug has been wilder then a buck deer.The ace bandage was itching him to death, which I do not doubt cause the kid sweats like nobody's business for no reason at all. So I promised him I would take the ace bandage off if he was awake after midnight tonight. So needless to say he was awake at midnight. He has not stayed down with the foot elevated so his lower leg has been swelled and when he has pushed it too much the foot turned purple. So with Daddy's help we removed the ace bandages. YUCK! Even Doug got nauseous. It was not as bad as I thought but it was not that good either. His lower calf muscle right below the knee is bruised black and blue. I think from where the braces were rubbing and the ace bandage was so tight. He had severa little holes up and down his leg I am sure from them finding a hamstring to remove to use to replace his ACL since his old one was gone. The nerves are beginning to regenerate which is causing the nerves from his groin to act up, that and his constant hopping on the crutches, jarring the leg. So I took his crutches from him and told him walker only for a while. Once the bandages were off and the blood flow was restored to the lower leg his foot all the way up to the knee went numb. I figure that will come back once he keeps it elevated enough to let the blood go back up his leg. He can get the incisions wet later today for a shower but no soaking in a tub. So here ya go ladies here is his leg now....
