We had a very busy day today. 

We have yet another person talking about renting the house, so we went and cleaned it up a bit.  Scrubbed out the toilets the best we could with no water.  Pulled weeds (first time in a year, so you know there were a lot),trimmed the hedges/shrubbery, edged, mopped, vacuumed, dusted, ect  Just look at the picture of the house on my homepage and you can see how big that front garden is.  It's HUGE!  It took all day. 

We got there around 10:30 and pulled weeds until approx 12:30.  It was perfect weather.  A little overcast and slight breeze.  Not too hot and no direct sunlight.  Plus it had rained the night before, so it was uber easy to pull the weeds.  Then we went and played on the playground for a bit.

About 1:30 we went to the pool to use the restroom (it's right across the street from the house and next to the playground) because the ones in the house can't be used until there is running water.  Luckily the pool wasn't locked.  Even though we pay the fees/dues there we don't keep up with it, I would have had NO CLUE what the code was to get in.  So we were able to get in and use the restroom and decided that we would come swimming when we were done.  I had the suits and towels in the van from yesterdays playdate that got cancelled. 

Then we went up and trimmed the hedges and picked up all the droppings.  Vaccumed up all the dead (and live) bugs.  scrubbed the cabinents in the kitchen, vacumed and mopped.  Cleaned the toilets and someone had splattered something on the walls in one of the rooms, so we had to scrub that too.  We finally finished about 3pm and went down to the pool.  None of the kids had a nap or lunch yet.  We stayed until Naomi couldn't take it any longer.  Went home and showered and got dressed.

Our plan was to treat the kids (and ourselves) out to eat.  I certainly wasn't making dinner after all that.  And then we were going to go to church afterwards.  We went to a BBQ place called Jim Nicks.  VERY GOOD BBQ!  Not our first time there, but we don't go out that often, so it was a nice treat.  We didn't get out of there until 7:30 and church started at 7, so we missed that. 

I am at home now and NEED to work on my syllabi's for the three classes I am teaching, we are supposed to turn them in at our teacher meeting tomorrow at 10am (HA!).  But hopefully I will at least get it finished before the first day of class (monday).  We'll see......
