Before I was A Mom....

I used to.... dance on table tops....(with my clothes on!  get your mind outta the gutter! LOL)  Geez! LOL

Now.... I dance while foldin laundry! LOL

I used to.... sing AC/DC songs....

Now... I hum to Barney's Theme. LOL

I used to.... hear children crying in stores and I was annoyed...

Now...they are MY children crying and I am still annoyed! LOL

I used to .... think that all newborns looked just  like Winston Churchill! LOL

Now....I still do! LOL  But.... Aren't they sooo cute!?

I used to.... have extra money for spa visits, facials, massages and special treatments....

Now....Extra Money?  Huh? What?...Oh that green stuff...I kinda remember what that looked like! LOL

I used to...eat a half of a pizza all by myself and never gain an ounce..

Now...If I smell half a pizza,   my thighs start to swell. LOL

I used to ...think that boxes, clothes pins, cups, spatula's and coasters were just house hold items.

Now...I see that they are great and powerful items that keep children occupied for hours!  LOL

I used to.... sleep for 10 hours a nite...

Now..Sleep..What the hell is that? LOL

I used to ....come in a 3 am....

Now..... I am up until 3 am doing housework. LOL

I used to.... get impatient while waiting in traffic behind a school bus...

Now .....I pray for the kids safety.

I used to..... think that I knew everything about parenting....

Now...I have children!  I threw the books out, turned off the "experts" on their tv shows and joined the real parenting world.  yikes!  One will never know "everything"!  LOL

I used to.... get bored....

Now...Bored?  Baaaa Haaaa!

I used to.... read at least 1-2 books per week....

Now.....I read at least 3 a day....All of them begin the same way..

"once upon a time." LOL

I used to..... stay up all nite for fun....

Now...I am still up all nite...For fun?...Ummm,  Not soo much! LOL

I used to.... gag at the sight or smell of a dirty diaper and wouldn't dream of touching one.....

Now ...I can change a diaper in Wal-Mart parking lot with the child standing in a shopping cart in under I minute - 28 seconds! LOL

I used to ....make popcorn and call it dinner...

Now..... if I don't have veggies with a meal, I feel as if I have failed. LOL

I used to..... worry about what color of nail polish to wear...

Now..... I worry about the environment!  LOL

I used to..... drive really fast...zoom zoom zoom....

Now...  I still do...just not with the kids in the car!   But, This sedan doesn't seem to "zoom zoom" as fast as my Camaro did!   LOL   

I used to.... take bubble baths....

Now ...I still do...I just have the company of toy horses, cows, alligators and 4 hands splashing back and forth as I soak. LOL

I used to.... be all alone......

Now.... I have a happy (somewhat! LOL) Family!

Things have changed from how they used to be.....AND

...All for the better! 

 Children don't just grow up, their parents do too. LOL

I used to.... think that I had it all....

Now....I wouldn't change a thing! 

I didn't know just what I was missing! LOL :)
