From time to time, people do get behind on bills or have an unexpected expense that comes up and leaves them without money to buy food. We have a program here in my city (and lots of other cities around the country) that offers generic brand groceries for a small amount of $. For $30, you get food to feed your family for a week of meals. You can buy extra packages (like the Fruit & Veggies pack) to supplement or the Deluxe Meat package if you need to feed more than 4 people.
The way it works is this: You place your order and then will be given a date to pick up food in your area. Our local chapter works out of one of the schools. They bring the food in boxes, ready to go. You just pay and pickup. No questions asked. Easy peasy!
