I thought back to school meant quiet time for Mom? What was I thinking? Today I remembered that back to school means getting up an hour earlier, making sure everyone has the 'instructions' (come straight home today, I won't be here to let the younger girls in) make all the informational phone calls (ugh! could someone PLEASE get the bus schedule straight! School started today and the bus schedules are still changing!) and setting up lunch accounts. Then of course just about the time i sit down with my cup of coffee and my Bible for some quiet devotional time, hubby (who's on 2nd shift) wakes early and grumpy, bless his heart.
Just about the time I started to feel sorry for myself, I realized...what if all my days were really uneventful? I'd be bored. I'd be restless. Would I really appreciate the quiet times if all my time was quiet? Probably not.
So I'm off...to grab some lunch (quick corn dog), do MY homework, chauffer my honey to work so I can have the van for a job interview, grab groceries, make dinner.......
