Oh well, I tried...

I have a pretty decent bruise at the site where I injected my first dose of Lovenox. Looks like I am going to have to lay still for 5-10 minutes after the injection in order to minimize the bruising- orhterwise my clothing rubs against my tummy enough to cause bruising. I am not unfamiliar with giving injections- they are terrible different from giving insulin- it's just the first time that  I have given them to myself.

My hematologist warned me about how easily I will bruise now. I was an easy bruiser before, without blood thinners! I am not able to sleep in the same bed as my husband (he is an elbow flinger) and that is not much fun. But, with the number of bruises that typically happen from having to share a bed with my handsome giant, it's better to be safe than sorry.

The Munchkin is pretty worried- though terribly impressed- by the idea of me having to have shots everyday. When we told her that it's going to help us have a healthy baby, she sort of perked up. She really wants a little brother, something fierce! We haven't told her that we are pregnant- she thinks that we are trying... It's really cute, she keeps telling her BM that her daddy and I are *practicing* alot to make a baby. :) Made me CRACK UP to hear that!

Well, 6 hours until my next injection. Let's hope that I can keep from having a bruise...
