Mikkel is turning 12

I can't believe that my oldest is turning 12. I mean, I have a 12 year old!! WOW!!! YIKES!!! I know that she isn't with me, but it still is just so hard to believe that in just 2 days she will be a tween, and then next year a teenager, I never thought it would go by so fast. I mean it seems like just yesterday she was born.

I guess the perk of it is: I only have a few more years left before I can see her again, or rather before her adoptive parents allow her to come and see me. She has been requesting to meet me since she was 8 and they told her she had to wait till she was 16. So ... now the countdown has begun. I used to think that 16 years was such a long time, and now it's just around the corner!

I am in complete euphoria right now! Hurray me!

Oct. 23, 2008 at 3:24 AM I'm glad they didn't keep it a secret that she was adopted and that shee wants to see you but I wish that they would get to know you so they could feel more comfortable about a visit sooner. I tend to be an idealist. I think your pretty sweet!
