Cancer has touched so many people.
My dad died last year from cancer. It seems like everyone I told about my dad when he was sick had a story of their own about a friend or family member with cancer.
No one is untouchable.
Not my grandma, not my neighbor, not my sister-in-law's mom who died from breast cancer and is being buried today - and not even me. Although I have never publicly talked about it - and would rather not remember it - I have had several very painful procedures in my life to take care of pre-cancerous cells in my cervix.
I learned of something last week that I wish I had known about when my dad was ill.
It's an organization that arranges flights in empty seats on corporate jets for cancer patients.
The website is:
I hope everyone will vote this popular to spread the word.
Thank you...

I'm a breast cancer survivor. Organizations such as this are wonderful! Here's another: Mercy Pilots.

Thanks for the great tip - you are right. There is no one who has not been touched by cancer in some way. How amazing when we fnd such organizations that bring light to a dark disease. Bless you for sharing.
The Dream Foundation out of California grants wishes for terminally ill patients, my mom is dying of cancer as well...
My dad passed away April 1st of this year and I called the Angel flight. They were really nice and helped out but could not fly me up where my dad was due to it being spring break and a lot were out. They said if it was a week before or a week after when I called they could have helped. I voted popular.
Also do not be fooled by people on cafemom posting their organizations to help others with cancer. One I have seen is a scam. A lot of people are fooled by her.

I'm sorry about your dad and that you were not able to get on a flight. I didn't even realize they would fly family members. I thought it was only for the cancer patients.
I'm just here to spread the word about the Corporate Angel Network and not to say anything negative about anyone...

Yes, I have been personally touched by caner. No one is exempt, it can happen to anyone. I surely never thought it could happen to me. At 36 years old, I found out I had thyroid cancer. I'm now 37, and cancer free, I have been for a year. So sorry for your losses, I know how hard it can be.
