We live in the time of real melting of cultures & traditions. Time of compromise if you ask me...To live together & survive means compromise. But I've been thinking about it & how so many people take it the wrong way & think that compromise means neglect the esperations of your own soul, deny your ethnic roots, deny your beliefs...well, I don't know if it's possible to compromise with someone who doesn't want to respect the value of a human life, but as long as all people agree on basic universal values & chose to keep their diversity within these values - fine by me...I really believe that all people can live in peace & stay who they are. I really am persuaded that it's possible to stay true to yourself & live in harmony with other people who might not share your beliefs or your opinions or even not understand your traditions & customs. I do not need to lose my identity as a person with a specific way of life in order to live in peace with my neighbors. All I need to do is respect the value of human life & share this respect with others. In my opinion this is the corner stone of the prosperous (in spiritual terms) society. Respecting the value of each human being...It might sound as just empty words, but it really is a very essence of us as a population of this planet. If we're to survive, we're to learn this respect.
Let's see how it works...In order to exercise the respect of each human being it's absolutely necessary to recognize that each individual has equal rights. It's written in scriptures, constitutions, bills, amendments but it's not yet written in people's hearts! We might not yet all have equal economic opportunities, equal chances for education, equal health care benefits, etc. but we all have one basic right that is the same everywhere you go on this planet - the right to live! Simply because we're humans...simply because we're made of flesh & blood. It's not in the power of any other person to take this right away from any other person. When you realize that, all become so easy. Just think of it.
It's in our power to change the way we go. Do we really need to fight that much? Do we really need to curse at each other that much? Yes, we get pissed off & angry & frustrated & yell at each other, but if our basic right to be respected as a human was met all this would be spared. Noone would be offended because another party would not dare to offend recognizing your right to be respected as human. We will not be pushed on streets or taken advantage of if our right to be respected as a living soul was met. We would not retaliate & cause more damage if we were not hurt. We would not offend if we were not offended. We would love if we were loved. We would live in peace if we all recognized how deep are the roots of this one basc right of each human being - the right to live. Life is too short. It's time to give it it's true value.

Since when is a material object more important than a person?
Since recession, which really has been going on not just since this summer but for decades, some families have never recovered from it, too many struggle daily for years! And running over people is caused by a mass hysteria or smth like that...ppl are driven to the utmost lowest of their beings to survive. I hate it. The only way to stop this is a permanent fix of the economy.

It's amazing... how much we think alike on certain issues.
I was just talking on the phone with someone yesterday about how little respect some people have for the well-being of others. I recently came across a photo online that was taken at a mall on Black Friday. It showed two women lying on the floor of some mall... they had been pushed down by a crowd of frantic shoppers rushing to get those great sales on presents. Since when is a material object more important than a person?
