Ashley is 22 months old. She has taken an interest in the potty for a couple of months now, but was not actually using the potty. Well, she recently began on occasion to pee on the potty. Once in a while, she'll say "Pa!" with quite an animated face and that's her "potty." She did that 3 times today and actually made pee all three times. The last two times she was still dry! I'm so excited. Maybe, just maybe, she'll be out of diapers before the baby comes late December/early January. It's still early to be able to say that, but it's nice that she's showing that she's really ready. For months she's been showing her awareness of knowing she's already gone and wanting to be clean and dry.
I'm still working with Benjamin. He'll go every time I bring him, but he's still not asking to go. He'll even let me know sometimes just after he's gone that he wants a diaper change. I'm proud of him for trying. It's quite an accomplishment for him. He's almost 3 1/2 now. For those whol don't know, he is visually impaired and developmentally delayed. Today he made my day and made me feel upset at the same time. He missed school on Tuesday for being sick. Today I brought him back because he's feeling better. Well, he was fine all morning until it was time to leave the house. I held his hand and was about to walk him to the front door as I said it was time to go to school. He pulled back a little and said, "I stay here." I was so excited because that shows he was understanding of what was going on and although I want him to be comfortable with going to school, he was expressing his true feelings. It was really great, but I still had to bring him to school against his protest and felt bad for that. Anyway, I'm hoping Benjamin will be out of diapers soon, but it will come all in good time. It definitely wouldn't be the first time I had 3 children in diapers. For a few months after Ben was born, Alex and Chris were still not fully potty trained.

That's great about your daughter! I can only hope one of my two gets trained before the next one comes!
