Well, we're 1/2 way through day two of Tropical Storm Fay, and my power has been going off and on since 7:00 this morning! This storm is touching all of the sunshine state, making its first landfall in South Florida, crossing Central Florida, stalling off the East coast, and crossing North Florida on its way through the panhandle. Sigh!

Anyway, after about 2 hours without power, the lights came back on and BANG! The house literally shook, as items hanging on the wall rattled. Looking out the window, my heart sank when I saw the cause - a limb from a nearby tree snapped, apparently crushing the corner of the downstairs roof! Argh!

Fortunately, the damage was limited to the OUTSIDE of the house, and there's no leak on the inside. During a lull in the rain, I swam through the front yard to take a few pictures. (No joke, the saturated ground tried to EAT my shoes!)

The worst of Fay is still on the way. We'll see how it goes after the third band of the storm hits.

I am so glad it didnt go through the roof! I know its so scarey to go through this, wish I could give you a big hug! What does your baby girl think about it all? Mine slept through Humberto last year and Eduardo a couple weeks ago. Thanks for posting the latest, your never far from my thoughts.

Oh hun, I'm so sorry! I'm glad you're okay though! Glad to hear it didn't go through to the inside though!

Wow! Im glad it didnt go through your roof! I pray that Fay will just go away and leave you guys completely intacted!

I agree, I'm so glad it didn't actually go through the roof! We were watching the news earlier and they were showing trees that had crushed cars and houses! Ugh, this storm really needs to move her butt on out of here!
