So upset

We let my mom borrow our cat for a few weeks so she could chase away the mice. The house has been empty for 2 years so she needed a little help. Well the cat got out or is hiding really well cause she has not seen her for 3 days! I am so upset cause I told my DD when we took the cat over ther to leave her alone so she would be used to grandma and her boyfriend. She was upset with me already over that and now the cat is gone! I feel so awful and don't know how to break it to her. I know she is going to be mad and upset with me and my mom for losing her. I have to tell her today because we are going over there Wednesday and I want her to not cry the whole time we are there.
