Stop giving your kids weird names!!

After subing today in the high school, I have been once again reminded that I HATE parents who PURPOSELY give their children weird names and I ESPECIALLY hate parents who try to spell a normal name "uniquely." It just makes you look dyslexic. Just b/c you give your child a weird name does not mean that child will be unique or be an "individual"...they are going to dress exactly the same as their friends and act just as dumb as the rest of their group whether or not you spell their name Tara or Tarah. So, ladies, I beg of you, from a teacher's standpoint, don't torture your child. Give them a name that others can pronounce and the average person can spell!

I totally agree! My daughter's friend in kindergarten last year was "Tequila".  No kidding.  Must have been what her mom was drinking when she got pregnant.
