Being to Nice

I am at work and since I am the only one in the office, I started thinking.  I let my mom start staying with me last year to help me with the kids.  I was very sick and in and out of  the hospital.  She was supposed to move but as yet to.  I hint to her about moving but then I feel bad because she is my mom.  Now 2 weeks ago, my brother had to move from where he was living and guess what I stated !!!  Next his wife decided that the kids would be better with him rather at my house.  Now this week she had to move and now she is at my house.  Now I have a 3 bedroom apartment and I have myself and 4 kids.  Why am I so nice ?  This is family but enough is enough.  I am going crazy !!!  What do I do to not go crazy ?

You better lay down the law, sister. Tell them that the place is not big enough for everyone and that some of them will have to go. I was in that predicament once, I had me, my husband, my 3 kids, our dog & cat, my sister, her girlfriend, my cousin, her boyfriend and her daughter in a 3 bedroom 1 1/2 bathroom house. I was crazy. I had to start kicking people out at random, LOL. But they have got to go...

But tell them in a nice way...they are family, after all.

Ouch!  That's a tough situation!  But I agree with Big, you gotta lay down the law and give them a deadline to get it together and find their own place.  Since you live in an apartment, I would insist that they are going to get you all thrown out as most landlords have a limit on how many people can live in thier units.  I would also encourage your mom and brother (and his crew) to get a place together near you that way they can help each other financially and with the responsibility and it will still make them feel like you want them near you.  Good luck, friend!
