So I am running an experiment tonight. I created my own cassorole. I hope it turns out well. Here is the recipe in case you want to try it out. Let me know what ya think if you do try it out. :)
What you need:
2 six ounce bags of Stoneground yellow cornbread mix
2 eggs
3 1/2 ounces of white rice
4 ounces of shredded Colby cheese
8 ounces of frozen corn
2 large boneless chicken breasts
2 twelve ounce cans of Heintz Chicken Gravy
2 2/3 cups of milk
1 deep medium sized baking pan
********************************************************
Directions:
Preheat Oven to 425 Degrees
Spray pan with cooking spray.
Follow Directions for cornbread on 1 package. (1 egg, 2/3 cup milk) and pour in bottom of pan and bake.
Layer 1 can of chicken gravy on top of baked corn bread.
Layer cooked/drained rice on top of gravy.
Layer frozen/uncooked corn.
Layer cooked/diced chicken breast.
Layer thinly shredded colby cheese.
Follow Directions for cornbread on 1 package. (1 egg, 2/3 cup milk) and layer on top & bake until cornbread has browned.
Serve & Eat. Serves 4-6. Enjoy!
***Note: To make it creamier add and extra thing or two of gravy and double the cheese!
