I had a hysterectomy 2 weeks ago and after a 2 night stay I was able to go home.  I was feeling great, recovering well and almost ready to start driving again.

Well, I had some weird pains for 4 days and was going to call the doctor to ask some questions on Monday morning but during the night I experienced pain like nothing I could even describe.  I literally would fall to the floor and scream uncontrollably every so often with the pain.  I moaned most of the night and sounded like a sick seal.

My husband finally convinced me to go to the hospital because the pain was off the charts and nothing improved.  He though I had appendicitis but it turns out I had a large kidney stone, thanks to my nasty Mountain Dew addiction. 

I was admitted to keep the pain under control and I had an emergency stent put in because I also had a UTI so hopefully this sucker will pass otherwise another surgery to blast the stone.  I really hate being "under" but I want to be healthy again.

I never knew turning 40 would mess me up so much.  LOL

I just advise everyone to watch their diet and soda consumption because I would never wish this pain on anyone.  I am just so grateful to be back with my family and in my own bed.

The meds are making me sleepy so I will update more tomorrow.
