Please, have mercy on me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (chain letters vent)

Now it's oficial....

I love my friends & I enjoy their company here & everywhere else, I am living through their experiences when they share it, I love to chat & hear what they have to say...I do want to keep our friendship & have it evolve towards something beautifull...

BUT I ABSOLUTELY HATE CHAIN LETTERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Please, have mercy on me...I get dozens of chain letters that contaminate my e-mail boxes & pm boxes & contaminate my friendship with people who send those letters.

Please, have mercy on me, spare me the filth of such messages that degrade humans to the level of click.

I'm not asking you to share the same belief I have about not liking & not believeing in those letters, but please, can you please respect me & not send me "pass it on to ten people otherwise smth bad happens to you' or ' live in bliss & pass it on to others & if you don't your bliss will end' - these are words that create negativity, I feel it, I do not want it around my friendship with all those wonderfull peopel (YOU!!!!) who're living with their hearts for other people.

I do not see your personality behind those chain letters (exceptions are very rare). My general impression is that you don't want to communicate with me, learn me, teach me through a personal conversation/message/letter/chat - you rather chose to bombard me with dozens of chain letters every day & every week & hide behind that. I want to see you, my friends, I want to be around you & talk to real YOU! 

Chain letters produce a negative image of you in my mind & at this point my friendship ties are at the edge of being broken...I do not want that! I want to save our friendship, save our meaningfull discussions, re-create our humorous talks, our deep talks...restore our connection, the one that goes from the real you to the real me...that's what I want. Do you want the same thing? Then please respect my wish about those chain letters.

I want to hear from you when you have a story of a person in need, someone real who needs my prayer or my participation, but I do not want to hear from you that if I don't pass a rhymed verse to a number of other cyber entities smth bad will happen to me - I do not believe it & I do not believe that passing it on will generate goodness, it just won't...but PRAYER WILL! If you want me to pray for you, your families, your friends, just let me know...

BUT DO NOT SEND ME CHAIN LETTERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ummm... does this go for those friend surveys, too?
Because, actually, I have been given much insight into the personalities and lives of my friends through those (sometimes silly) questions.

I completely agree with you.  Usually when I opt to forward a chain letter of that kind it is because I have personally found something of value in the message, but I ALWAYS omit (meaning delete) the 'threat' attached to it.  Nothing at all spiritually or emotionally positive in a threat.  :-(

yes! sometimes a nice picture, a nice poem & then ~bang~ you get slapped...something nice you come across is ok to share, but w.t.h. is up with that shit at the end of each chain letter? it's like harrassing people, don't you think? I totally despise that & I feel so sad that so many of my friends give in this stupid game...I'm sory my words may come across too blunt, but I'm just so disgusted by those letters that I felt I need to speak up in the hard language cause otherwise my message won't be taken seriously.

I feel your pain.  I have a friend on Cafe Mom who must send me 50 messages of garbage a day.  I sometimes will have 25 to 50 email of junk.  I just don't have the time to read that now or in the next lifetime.  Hoping your email gets thru to people.

I'm the same way.  I tell all my friends to please not send me chain letters.  And if I have to tell them multiple times, I finally tell them I will have to take them off of my friend list.  I don't mind getting the occassional mass sending off nice thoughts or messages, but anything that demands me to send a bunch of copies to friends----------I just delete.
