Ok, I'm scared out of my wits. I live in New Orleans, went through Katrina, lost everything, rebuilt and here we are again trying to decide whether or not to evacuate and if so, when to do it. Last time, it was just me, my husband and my son who had to evacuate. This time I have a dog and a cat that I can't leave behind, nor would I even if I could and don't know where to go. Sorry, just had to vent.

I have been there before. I use to live in Havelock NC and those storms were horrid. My father wasn't the brightest man when it came to animals and just let them go so they can survive on their own. Yeah he was pretty dumb! I hope all goes well for your family.

I just read your post. Thoughts and prayers were already gone out that way but I will add a special prayer for you and yours. Thinking of and praying for all those on the coast.

I feel you. I left for Katrina but didn't have a child at the time and still lived with my mom. This time around i have my own place with 2 cats and a 4 month old baby. Including my boyfriend and we have no idea where to go nor do we have the money to leave. I am so tired of this crap. We are really thinking about moving to another state. New Orleans is going to go under one day so why be here for it. I am going to be pissed if we have to leave and nothing happens. That's a lot of money gone that we dont have. Ugh I hate all this. Best of luck to all you people that have to leave. Prayers are with you.
