I am soooooo mad! This doesn't make sense to me! Update added!

ok let me just tell you I live in a duplex I have a front yard and the back is a driveway that car don't slow down in! Anyway I have my 5 yr olds pool which isn't big at all behind a tree on the front lawn, it's not in anyone's way it, I drain and deflate it every night! Today I go out to fill it and the code enforcement guy pulls right up and tells me the pool must be in the back! THE BACK!!! A DRIVEWAY????? i AM SORRY MY 5 YR OLD ISN'T SWIMMING IN THE BACK OF MY HOUSE IN A BUSY DRIVeWAY!  This excuse my words PRICK was me to risk my sons safety to make the township look better! Not that it's  gated community or even that nice of an area! I live right outside of Philadelphia no lie Philly is not even a mile away! This is more like part of the city then a suburb! Not that there is any problem w/ cities but I live in the city for years and never had any problems like I do here! He told me that in the ordinance it states that nothing can be on the front lawn I have lived here for 4 years and never received anything saying this! I just looked up the ordinance and read all 137 pages! Nothing!!!! The closest thing to the lawn I found is about how it has to be cut and not to exceed 10 inches! The other thing states and I quote "503.1 Open Space A lawn a grassy place with or without trees may be used by residence for many purposes" Now that to ME includes pools! This man is telling me that he will fine me if I put the pool up again, and that the swim club is right around the corner! Nevermind that it cost over $700 just for 2 people to join thats why they are never busy! My opinion on this is that the guy is for the pool and just wants to give me a hard time and get me to join! I can't afford it and my son deserves to able to swim on hot days and I shouldn't have to worry about him being hit by a car! I am going to keep the pool up and when I get a fine I am going to fight it this guy must not know me I am soooo stubborn and I won't back down!

What would you do???

Update:

I have been back and forth wwith different people in the township including town meeting, privite,ect. The final ruling is that there is No and I repeat NO ordiance about a pool on the property! Next year I am able to have it with no problem and if this man gives me any more problems I have the personal # to  a head admin for the township! YEAH I WON!!!!! Thankyou everyone who left me messages and all those who just read this and let me vent!

Awww Jess I would look into it, I don't know what you do where you live, But where I live I would go to the council and see what I could do, Good luck hun keep us posted

In my town I was told I was in violation for something and I demanded to see where it was in writing.  I wanted the "code" book.  They couldn't give me the book.  They had to photocopy the page the "code" was on.  No one can have a "code" book to read through in our town.  They have the only one that sits on the desk of the borough hall.  That's politics for ya!

Fight it, go to your city hall and ask them to point it out for you. That man is just an a-hole.
