Asking All Moms

Hi ladies. My husband is entering his senior design project for college. He is going to become an electrical engineer. Anyways, with this project he has to make something that is not on any market and he has to come up with a business plan. Well, he asked me if I had thought of anything that as a parent I would want. I have come up with an idea and I just wanted to ask all other mothers if they thought this would good, if you would buy it, etc. My idea for his project would be an alarm system for young children that cannot swim and being around water. Basically your child would wear a bracelet or necklace or something to that effect, and if s/he got to close to open water or fell in to a swimming pool an alarm would sound inside your home. We are also figuring a way to make this a handheld device that you could easily take with you to the beach, lake, or pool party. I truly would buy this product if it were available. Please give me your suggestions and opinions. And again this would be for smaller children like toddlers up to like age 6 or for the children who cannot swim.

i would buy the product!! i have a nephew who almost drowned because he got outside and fell in the pool, good luck with this project
