Underserving Moms

I try my best to be the bigger person and leave what you have no control over up to God. It just gets so hard sometimes. For the life of me I don't know why some women have kids. Because the ones who truly want them, can't have them. Some women who have them, don't do right by them and don't deserve them. I couldn' imagine not loving and taking care of my kids. Now, I understand that some situations can't be helped but, to just knowingly not do right by your children. That concept is just lost on me.

Well, it is not just the woman's fault. The father is just as responisble for his offspring and how they are treated. I really think we need to start pushing for free vasectomies, so, these deadbeats will get fixed and quit having unwanted pregnancies.

Aug. 28, 2008 at 9:18 PM I agree with the mom above me,Nashke.I'm an older mom but As the years gone by I've seen the way some mom's treat their children,that I ask how in the world was that thing ever given the chance to have a child and to make it worst the Father(and so he calls himself)even be a Dad?They should have had a law alongg time ago about vasectomies for men cause they always blame the women but it take two to tango!!!

I was asked, "what if the dad is NOT a deadbeat". Well then, he needs to get custody of his children to ensure the best life for them. Many single moms find great stepfathers or male role models for their children. There is no reason a father cannot or should not do the best by his children, even if that means removing them from a harmful mother.

There is no amount of money that would be too much for me to do right by my children. If the father is refusing to take action because he thinks money will be an issue, that is just a lame excuse and he cannot call himself a good father. Excuses are just that: excuses.
