Hubby and I went to our sonogram today. While not 100% positive, it looks as if we are having a baby BOY! After 3 girls, I am a bit nervous about having a little boy. I guess I will learn as I go!
We are very excited, and cannot wait for the big day to arrive in January. I am due around January 20, but having a c-section around the 10th. I was fortunate to experience a vaginal birth with my firstborn, but due to my emergency c-section with my second I had to have a c-section with my third, and will be doing so again with new baby. We are plum tickled blue!
We found out some very upsetting news today. My Mama, age 53, has been diagnosed with early onset Alzhiemer's Disease. I have so many emotions going on within me right now, I don't even think I can put it into words...yet. I will, I just have to give some time for the shock to subside. I just do not know what to do with this, you know? Both my heart and my soul hurts, and I feel so helpless and scared. I am going to urge my Mama to get a second opinion.
We were already dealing with my Mama having skin cancer. She has had several lesions removed, yet there is one that was much deeper than expected. She is scheduled for outpatient surgery to remove the cancer next Thursday.
That's about all I can share right now, until I can have some time to process all of this.
A bittersweet day indeed.
