So we got another email from my Aunt this morning..... and I wanted to share the updates for those that have been praying, or sending up their thoughts... Thanks to all of you.. I really appreciate it all...

Not doing all that well. Here it is 24 days they thought he wouldn't be here. Today the doctor said he needs to get off the bp meds to be able to use the kidney machine to pull fluid off. He cant seem to keep his bp up without the meds. So they cant pull water off him and he is swelling again and that makes the water come out through the skin in the way of blisters that pop and have to be dressed. His feet never really went down much so he is wrapped in gauze from feet to thigh and his arms are the same way. Oh forgot he has a positive culture in his sputum VRE a very bad bacteria that is resistant to a lot of antibiotics. He was started on a very strong antibiotic three days ago to fight it. They have cultured his blood for three days now has not shown up yet. Lungs look OK so far. They changed all his lines from one spot to another to make sure they are not the cause of the infection. His skin is very thin and bruises very easy and it takes a while to clot and heal. So the prognosis isn't good . The doctor said if you look at his body as 100% and take off 20% for each organ not working ( Kidney, Liver impaired, Graft v Host disease eating his platelets and requires platelets and red blood almost every day and cant keep bp up with out bp meds. So that puts him at a 20 % chance of pulling through. Not what we wanted to here but we wont give up hope until he turns either way. Jp and I are tired and upset. Jp is stronger emotionally than I am and tries to encourage Klye to not give up and he has come a long way. Keep your prayers up. Love Dawn
