OK, so, I go into any store - although Walmart's usually the place where I hear it the most - and it's "Oh, wow, you have 3 boys!! You must be so busy!" And when I say, no, actually, I have 5 boys - I swear they about faint every time! I've even had some people say, "How old are you, anyway?!!" And their mouths drop to the floor when I say that I'm 27. You know, I'm the one that had these babies, of course I know how busy I am!! Do you think that I just hate it or something or what?! I wouldn't change my life for the world - I love my job being a SAHM & I wouldn't have it any other way! The way they make it sound, it's like, So if I had girls, I wouldn't be so busy?! or what?!!! I honestly don't think I'm any more busy now, with 5 little boys, then I was when I had 3 little boys, or even just 1!!! I think the only thing I'm busier with, is laundry & refereeing (sp?) arguments. My kids are just now really starting to get into school & are too young for activities yet, so I really haven't done much in the way of that. My oldest, Jamison, just started 2nd grade a week ago, my 2nd, Nicholas, started Kindergarten, & my 3rd, Logan, started preschool. Politely, how do I say, shut up?!!! LOL I hate the astonished looks, the OMG looks, etc, etc! I'm a busy mother, yes! It doesn't matter if I have 1 child or 15 children, I'm still a busy mother!! (not that I'm ever going to have 15 children...but you know what I mean!!)

I was grocery shopping at Walmart the other day with 2 of the older boys. I had 2 carts filled to the brim & I was carefully navigating them around other people & up & down aisles so that I could go get some bread & be done. I get to the bread aisle, there's about 20 other people in the same aisle (of course) & this older gentleman (if I can really call him that) comes up to me & says he's going to follow me through the check out so that he can see how much my grocery bill is. I'm sorry, but is that just being rude or am I reading WAY too much into that?!!!?? How is it any of his business!!!? And is it anyone's business that my $300 to $400 worth of groceries will probably only last - MAYBE - a couple of weeks?!! If I'm lucky!! It's surprising to most to hear that I have a couple of extremely picky eaters who will only eat processed meat (like hotdogs, fish sticks, etc) and not much regular meat because it takes too long to chew. Well, why do you think my grocery bill is so high?! I need to buy processed meat instead of the bigger packages of "real" meat which actually cost less because I can use them for more than one meal - usually.....Jamison will eat anything...just about...and a lot of it. Nicholas, he's getting better, but would much rather prefer the processed junk yet. Logan....well, he's a whole 'nother post!!! He's extremely picky, throws tantrums instead of eating veggies...etc, etc, etc. I grow my own veggies which he helps pick (like beans, carrots, etc) and he STILL won't eat them!! Although, he sure loves the giant pumpkin we have out there right now!! Too bad he won't eat it! Then there's Kyler Jack...I'm surprised with him! He'll eat as much as Jamison some days (and that's more than I eat even, and some days even more than dad!) And you wonder why we have such a large grocery bill! Landyn is starting to eat "regular" food, too - or people food as the boys call it (as opposed to baby food, he's getting people food now) there's a lot that he'll stick in his mouth, but a lot that'll come right back out again, too! But by the time you get jarred food for the things that he CAN'T eat (meats, etc) things add up in a hurry!! I've really got to become a coupon clipper - but with that many kids (yeah, I'm sick of it, but I still use it, too!) I hate going from store to store to store just to find the best deals...I stick to Walmart usually (because it's on the edge of town, so I don't even have to go into Watertown to do anything) - it's on my edge of town (as in, I don't have to across to the other side just to go!) so it's faster, and more convenient because I can get ALMOST anything I need there. And now, they're starting to accept competitors coupons (of course, that means I still have to clip them, though! Who has time for that?!!?!!??)  Jason says WalMart's going to rule the world some day. And it's funny because shortly after that, I saw a sign for WalMart Realty.........oh my......!!!! lol

Anyway, I just wanted to vent a little bit....Thanks for "listening"!! :)

I know where you are coming from I get snide remarks like wow you've been busy and why are you having so many kids, and the funny part is I only have two kids! And one on  the way I guess the SHOCKING part to people is that I had them at a young age and close together. My daughter Imani is 2 and my son Anttywan Jr. is 1, and I am 22. So I can only imagine the hell you must go through with people who speak without thinking first, but may god bless and keep you and your beautiful family.

You are too cute.  It just irks me too when people say stuff like that as you know.  But the thing in the bread isle would be one of the last straws for me.  Your grocery bill is your business.  And like I said I am sure 5 boys do eat alot.  I know with a family of 6 our bill can be ridiculous and not even last that long.  I do clip coupons and don't forget Wal-mart always price matches if you take in an add.  I know it does not happen to often though to find a better deal than them.  I mean really one stop shopping anyway who with a big family would pass that up.  And don't forget you need a girl still:)  Haha so then go shopping and see the shock on their faces:)  Later girl,  Les
