Ethyn Duayne 8-4-08

Sorry it took so long for me to write this but I have been buisy.Well I went in the night of the 3rd at around 11:00pm and they put me in my room and did all my paper work I had also asked them if I could go ahead and get the epi then but couldn't lol.Anyways after they did my paper work they gave me cervidil and had to leave it in for 3 hours before I could get up and do anything.Well that night I could not sleep at all and I was so tired.But anyways the next morning they came in and told me I could go to the bathroom take out the cervidil and take a shower and I did. Well between 8 and 9 they started the pitocin. I finally got the epi and they broke my water.The nurse I had was very rude I had to go to the bathroom a lot and she said I have never met anyone that has to pee every 5 minutes. Well....everyone could tell she was very rude I had problems with her the whole time.Anyways the  contractions seemed like they were irregular but I was dialating so I guess it did not matter. Well I started to feel the contractions on my left side  so they made me roll onto my left side as best as i could.Well that did not help.They would check me and I was dialating very slowly i was at 9cm forever.I told my nurse that I was feeling my contractions and that I wanted to redo my epi and she said Well it will delay him comming I told her I did not care So she says very rudely FINE have your baby later on tonight then I dont care.My midwife came in and checked me and I was still 9cm so she asked me if I had any aleep and I told her no so she tells everyone to get out but one person can stay ( a support person) and she wanted me to go to sleep YEAH RIGHT!!!! I could feel every contraction. Well I told the nurse to come in and check me and I only had a rim left so as the midwife walks back in she says she wants me to push through it. So I start to push and it hurts so bad I had NO epi at this point.And as I am pushing and even with just the contraction before I started pushing I noticed his heart rate was going down every time.Well when I started pushing it took a few pushes to get his head through the rim and doing it natural it kind of put me shock a little and I started freaking out because my body was pushing and I could not stop it and I cound not breath at all ao they gave me oxygen and I knew all I had to do was push out his head.Finally his head came out and ther was the cord around his shoulder I think it got compressed with the contractions.But then I pushed out the rest of his body it took about 3 pushes to get him out after I got him down  they put him on my tummy and I do not remember a lot  but i do remember seeing daddy cut the cord and it took a while for him to cry. But when he did he only let out a few cries.They said he was as alert s a 2 month old.But Ethyn Duayne was born at 6:56 pm 11 days early he weighed 9lbs 10.5 oz he was 22 inches long his head was 15.5 inches and chest was 14.THAT HURT!!!LOL But I dont think he was ready to come out that is why it took so long to dialate.All the pictures are in with my photos check them out if u have not already
