I want to find a real preschool program for my kiddo, but all I keep finding is these preschool/daycare programs which cost a fortune, and run 12 hours a day. I don't need a babysitter, I need a teacher. Any ideas on how to find a real preschool that is for a few hours a day? I live in Denver, BTW.

Thanks!

If you are looking for a preschool, you should ask other moms in your town. I am a member of my local MOMS Club and we have a preschool forum each year so that other moms can find schools for their children. You can contact your local chapter and see if they have anything similar.

I know that some of the daycare centers also have preschool options. You just need to call and talk to them. I know I found my children’s schools through word of mouth. The best preschool only options in my area (Northern Virginia) don’t need to advertise since people recommend them to other families. In fact one of the schools my kids went to was a licensed home based school that was run by former teachers. It was AWESOME and you would have never known it was in a house.

Good Luck!
