That a well-behaved, good-tempered, "easy" child's traits are attributed to their great personality, but a "needy," outspoken, spirited child's traits are automatically assumed to be a parent's "fault"?

I'll spare the details, but a relative told me a few weeks ago I "went wrong somewhere" because my 9.5 month old baby still wakes several times to nurse throughout the night. I'm still annoyed. Why couldn't it simply be the case that my child wants to be close to me at night b/c I'm at work all day? Sigh.

I swear some people have no clue to life.  My husband and I raised four girls. SO many people during that time would give us 'advice' on certain children.  My husband and I did what we wanted, raised our children the way we wanted and kept saying, "Lets SEE how THEIR children turn out as adults.  And to tell you the truth, the most outspoken one that always complained about the way we handled OUR children,  his youngest became a teen mom and is on welfare and medical aide and living in housing and always borrowing money off of him now.   Hmmmm, all my kids are financially taking care of themselves in their own apartments, with their kids, except one who made the choice to live here with us which my husband and I thoroughly approve of. So dont listen to others. Raise your children as you want. And step back and wait 20 years and then see how THIER children turn out.   It is amusing.

who cares what others think!!! Every parent is different and all you can do is raise your kids the best way YOU  know how. Do the best you can and do what feels right for YOUR child.

Anyone who feels they need to give you there opinion can go F themselves...........Was that to harsh? lol
