Even though it has been a short week (kids had Friday and Monday off for holiday) it has felt long.  Kyle has had several meltdowns but after taking away his movies and making him eat lunch at school he has calmed down quite a bit.  His DVD/movies are the one thing that I can take away and it makes an impact on him.  He hates eating lunch at school too unless they are having chicken.  Terry talked to him a few nights ago. Not sure if it helped but I think it didn't hurt. At least Kyle knows that Terry is still part of our family even if he is not here.  Ricky........... oh my gosh.  Progress reports came out Wednesday.  I got a call from his resource teacher on Tuesday to let me know he had an F in World Regions (History).  I already knew that because I was able to check his grades online.  I had emailed his WR teacher a few weeks ago because he had a D in there then.  She said not to worry she hadn't posted all grades and he was doing fine.  Well no he wasn't doing fine.  He hadn't turned in several assignments which made his grade drop.  His resource teacher got his incomplete work and sent it home for him to do and turn in the next day. He wasn't too happy about that and really wasn't happy when I took away is PS2 games.  After about 3 hrs he finally got the work done but I didn't give back his games yet.  I explained that work comes first and his grades are important.  I told him that his assignments need to be turned in on time.  He is smart but lazy. He doesn't think he needs to study to pass his quizzes/tests and I have explained that his grades show different. He has to study but doesn't want to or ask for help.  I don't know what to do. I hope it is a passing phase and will get better.

As for me.  I started bowling on the winter league yesterday. I also went by the Civilian Employment office yesterday to drop off my resume for a job here on post.  Since I haven't worked in 7 yrs I doubt I will even be considered but I had to try. The hours would be from 8 -4 which means I wouldn't have to give my whole check for child care like before.  It's less than 2 miles from my house so I wouldn't use that much in gas.  And best of all it's M-F, no weekends.  Too good to be true I know.  It's in God's hands so I will wait and see what happens.
