Lately I've been having that horrible feeling that I'm getting old- and I'm only 26!  The thing is, I feel old when I listen to the radio.  Not rock stations- I still love hearing new rock and I have a lot of bands that I love.  I feel old and out of touch when I listen to pop radio.  There are still some songs that get to me, that have a certain melody I like or lyrics that strike a cord, or maybe there's just a good beat...but for the most part, I listen to them and think "what?"  The music they play lately seems so goofy to me.  For one, all I seem to hear anymore is what I call "Pop-Hop", this infusion of pop and hip-hop that doesn't quite match the definition of either.  I used to love me some hip-hop, but I liked the real kind, not this watered-down crap that only pre-teens can appreciate.  Where is the real music?  So I wonder if music has really changed or if I'm just getting old, because with a few rare exceptions and my rock stations, most music lately has seemed completely pointless to me.

And God save us all from Miley Cyrus- but's that another post, I guess. =)
